Down in Jackson, Mississippie, new mayor Frank Melton went on a crime-sweep of his city less than twelve hours into his new job. He raided a bar, a seedy hotel and then found some car-jacked cars at a gas station. Driving one of the cars was a sixteen-year old repeat offender. Melton said that tomorrow he was going after the kid's parents because "It's one o'clock in the morning. Why is he out here unsupervised driving a car that's not his in the first place?"
